Become a Volunteer Chaplain

Volunteer Chaplaincy Information

Share Your Heart is a program by Victory for Youth, a 501(c )3 that mobilizes and trains caring adults who desire to serve their community in meaningful ways as a volunteer chaplain to support community members in crisis. We partner with state and local government agencies and non-profit organizations to respond to referrals for children, families, and vulnerable adults in your zipcode who have been identified as in crisis or distress (e.g., in need of food or clothing, have suffered loss of a family member, have been exposed to violence and/or trauma. Through the SYH App and website, partnering agencies and organizations can submit a referral for service that will be confirmed and forwarded to SYH volunteer chaplains within the zip code of the person(s) in need. Volunteer Chaplains maintain contact for at least 90 days through phone and/or personal visits, connecting people to resources and helping prevent future involvement with welfare or justice systems.
