Yes, there is a cost for the Basic Volunteer Chaplaincy Course. The 16-hour course is $150.00 and includes:
- Comprehensive training materials
- Level 2 background check
- Official Volunteer Share Your Heart Chaplain picture ID
- Polo shirt featuring the program logo
- One-year membership
- Coffee, snacks, and meals (lunch or dinner) provided during training sessions
This fee ensures participants are fully equipped and prepared to serve effectively as volunteer chaplains.
The Volunteer Chaplaincy program serves communities across Florida:
- South Florida: Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, Palm Beach
- Southwest Florida: Collier, Lee, Hendry, Charlotte, Glades
- North Florida: Tallahassee, Leon County, Marion, Okaloosa
- Northwest Florida: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton

The Youth Mental Health Training is a 6-hour course required for those serving in schools. This program equips caring adults with practical tools to help young people navigate mental health challenges effectively. This training includes:
- Identifying warning signs of mental health issues in youth.

Learning and applying an action plan to assist individuals in distress.
- Gaining strategies to support school-age children and youth facing emotional distress, the onset of mental illness, addiction, or crisis situations
- Hospitals
- Miami-Dade County Corrections
- Public, Charter and Private Schools
- Intersession
- Community Outreach: Food drive/Events & Individual referral responses
- First Responder/Disaster Response
We provide in-person bilingual trainings at least twice a year. Additionally, we offer the full training online, allowing participants to watch videos and complete the tests for each section at their own pace. This flexible option ensures that everyone can access the training in a way that works best for them.
Yes, membership must be renewed annually at a cost of $55.00. This renewal ensures continued access to program benefits and resources.
